As mentioned earlier, SMART does not teach any vocational programs nor issue any certificates. Our role is to lend advise and direction to students wanting to know the best way to complete the training they need to give them the best odds of gaining employment as emergency responders in the cities of their choice. Because SMART sends so many students to some of the best educational providers in North America, students interested in going to any of the programs listed on our website can often receive bursaries, scholarships, or discounted rates that otherwise would be unknown to students. For example, each year, SMART is granted thousands of dollars in bursaries and funds to help assist students in completing firefighter training. When registering for the Training Division NFPA 1001 program, eligible candidates could have access to these funds to help reduce those costs. That is the advantage SMART provides.
